The Fourth
What a fantastic fourth. The last of the cousins arrived this morning and we headed right to the beach. It was very crowded but we were able to find a space to call our own.
The highlight of the beach day was a gigantic whole the kids dug that was so deep when KC jumped it you couldn't even see her. I was a little nervous about the whole thing (no pun intended) but it was filled in and forgotten in short order. We headed back to the house early for the annual party at Aunt Ls house with even more kids.
It was great to see everybody and meet the new babies but I think the highlight of the evening was Uncle Ss Porsche in the driveway. He was so nice he even let some of the kids sit in it.
Before we knew it the sun had set and we made the treck to the beach to see lots of fireworks. There were several people shooting fireworks off from the beaches nearby but we could also see the fireworks from Hyannis, Martha's Vineyard and several other towns across the water. What a display. We are already planning the fireworks viewing for next year.
