After waiting DAYS to trim the three, the day finally came. We put on some Christmas music and began taking the ornaments out of the box and putting them on the tree. Some ornaments can only be hung by certain people, and then there are some that have a special meaning that doesn't require any story at all. But I think my favorite ornaments are the ones that are put on the tree while the very familiar story is being told (usually with a big smile). All five of us have ornaments that we put on the tree while telling its story. There are the ones from my childhood, heirloom ornaments, ornaments from trips we have taken, ornaments from apple picking, ornaments from when we got married, ornaments from the Cape and ornaments the kids have made. This is a wonderful family tradition that I just love!! And look how beautiful the tree is...
