Here it is!

Last night the desk was put in its place and is now ready for the new school year. Sarah completed painting it the day it was purchased. We had to use oil based paint so the drying time was longer than we initially anticipated. Finally we were ready to move it, but we realized that the paint wasn't completely dry at the bottom where some small drips were. A day or two went by and we decided it was time to move it up the stairs. There was a 'little' bit of paint still wet on the bottom, but we went ahead with the move. First of all, it much heavier than we expected even though we have put it in the car and then taken it out of the car. So, we decided to push it up the carpeted stairs on its top. Sounded like a good idea until we realized that there were smalls drips of paint on the top of the desk that were now on all over our stairs!! What could we do now? Just keep on pushing it into Sarah's room and leave it on its top for many more days. Oh, and the top and side kept separating as we pushed it up the stairs. It was a disaster. We were finally brave enough to turn the desk over and put it into place. The deal is that it will not move from this place until it is time to get rid of the lovely pink and blue desk. I don't think it could handle another move. Sarah loves it and is very proud, that is all that matters now. :)
